Neo-Folk Artist, Kristin Farr
I discovered the work of Kristin Farr as I had been thinking of getting back to my fine-art roots and taking up painting again. I had long been fascinated by Pennsylvania Dutch folk art and all things kitsch, but I had been particularly interested in how folk art would look in modern times. As I researched what was currently going on in this movement, I became fascinated by the work of Kristin. Her dayglow colors and modern shapes bring new life to the idea of hex signs. I admire her murals and paintings and how her vision has modernized this humble art from our past.
