The idea of Churn Butter Design originated from a joke at a studio where I worked in South Florida. As we all became friends, my co-workers thought it was hilarious that I was an export from Penn Dutch country.

I must admit it was a bit of a culture shock to move away from the ‘homeland’. I thought I was pretty well-adjusted but the other designers couldn’t help speculating that a Pennsylvania girl, fresh off the buggy, must churn butter and raise barns on the weekends!

Although it was surely not the case, we had a great many laughs about the whole thing… and so Churn Butter Design came to be! 🙂
